Tight Competition of SNMPTN and SBMPTN in MUs
The State University of Malang (UM) from year to year has always been the favorite university for new student admissions, both through the SNMPTN and SBMPTN routes organized by the Government through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and the Mandiri route organized by UM. The intense competition to register as prospective students occurs evenly in almost all Departments / Study Programs at UM. The tight competition ranges from 5,48% from the number of applicants who register on the SNMPTN route and 4,98% from the number of applicants who register on the SBMPTN route.
In accordance with the policy issued by the government, the quota for admission of new students for the SNMPTN route is 40%, the SBMPTN line 30%, and the Mandiri 30% route.1]. In the following, we present the map data of the tight competition between the SNMPTN and SBMPTN lines that occurred last year (2016/2017) in the table for information.
