Since 2001 it has been initiated by DP3M Ditjen Dikti; Student Creativity Program (PKM) which integrates the management of student programs, educational activities, research, and community service with active student participation.
PKM's mission is to lead students to reach the level of enlightenment for creativity and innovation based on mastery of science and technology.
Meanwhile, the aim of PKM is to prepare students to become independent and wise leaders, to provide opportunities to implement skills, expertise, responsibility, build teamwork and develop creative activities in their respective fields of knowledge.
The scope of PKM includes five types of activities, namely, research, application of technology, entrepreneurship, community service and scientific writing.
PKM participants are open to all students, both Diploma and Undergraduate programs, individually or in groups with one accompanying lecturer.
PKM teams that pass the selection will be monitored and evaluated by a team from Dikti during the activity, and those who are declared successful as finalists will be invited to presentations at PIMNAS to compete for the national level PKM championship. The training process and the preparation of proposals at universities were carried out around March - September, and in October the proposals were sent to DP2M Directorate General of Higher Education, Jakarta for selection. Each proposal that has passed the Dikti selection will receive a maximum funding of IDR 12,500,000.00.
